Gimme a break...

I'd post a blurb, but you really have to read the first paragraph of this to understand.

So, do we argue that if people are fucking stupid enough and ignorant enough to do that... then let the world prosper on the backs of morons?

Or do we freely admit that 98% of the world ARE morons, and concede that we're totally fucked?

Ha ha, as usual, the answer is more complex than that. One person's "moronic behavior" is another person's "if I change all the passwords to every site we use every two weeks my boss will freak out and fire me because he can never access the accounts".

From the boss' perspective, the ease of accessing the account quickly and at any time in order to fulfill a client request or to accrue material in order to reach a deadline is perhaps more important than password protection. And if people get idiotic spam on his or his company's behalf, s/he'll deal with it only if clients complain. Otherwise, getting a shitload of unwanted spam is part of dealing with the Internet; people can ignore it or delete it.

Can you tell I've had this argument already? ;)
